The videos, which are being released over the course of the week beginning on January 13, offer international students’ experiences of accommodation, transport, employability and work opportunities, and a day in the life of a student in London.
“We want prospective students to have a true, unfiltered understanding of what it means to study and live in London, and what better way to do this, than speak to London’s existing students?
“We are pleased to be able to launch this second phase of the campaign at a time when our universities need it the most,” said London Higher CEO Diana Beech.
London Higher is the umbrella body of almost 50 universities and higher educational colleges across London, acting as an advocate for the sector in the Greater London region.
While the first phase of the campaign took a broad look at the benefits of studying in London, phase two aims to demystify aspects of London life for prospective students and assuage practical concerns they face when studying in London.
The video on accommodation, for instance, dives into student housing options, challenges and strategies for finding a living space in the capital, and the transport video demonstrates how students navigate London’s vast transport network.

“You can meet so many different people from different walks of life, it’s literally like a small world”, said Phuong Le, a recent graduate of South Bank University, who goes on to share her chosen things to do and places to eat in the capital.
